Mrs. Nicole Bolen teaches Physical Education to all students at St. Mary Cathedral School. She also teaches science for the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Following almost twenty years in the health and fitness industry, she felt God’s calling to teach in a school setting, and she began teaching five years ago for SMS. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Management from Southeast Missouri State University. Her parents were both educators and a lesson she has learned from her education is that, “You have to learn to meet people where they are.” Mrs. Bolen loves to help instill in the youth the value and importance of taking care of their bodies, the temple of their soul. She describes her profession as challenging, rewarding, and fun. She has been married to her husband Thomas for over seventeen years and together they have three children: TJ, Ty, and Annette. She also has a Boston Terrier named Izzy. One may see her rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoying various outdoor sports and activities, especially those involving her children. She also likes reading and traveling during the summer time. One of her favorite quotes is, “The greater and more persistent your confidence in God, the more abundantly you will receive all that you ask.” -St. Albert Magnus
